Welcome to The Quay!
Tucked away on the water in Chiswick, West London, Chiswick Quay is a private development of 1970s homes based on Port Grimaud in the South Of France. We are located at Number 1, it's a 5 bedroom town house set over 4 floors.
When we renovated this home in 2025 we took a lot of inspiration from Mediterranean Villas so it's a very neutral colour scheme with natural materials featuring throughout such as microcement floors on the ground and 1st floors.
The floorplan total is over 2100 sqft, the ground floor is an entrance hall, garage with crittall window between the hallway and garage, storage room / bedroom 5 and microcement shower / utility room. The 1st floor is the living space and kitchen, it's completely open plan with pivot doors out to a paved terrace with banquette seating and bbq. The kitchen / dining area is set 2 steps above the sunken living room with a built in dining table and slate coloured cupboards. The whole 1st floor has a microcement floor, a bespoke oak zig zag staircase and black metal balustrades. The 2nd floor is home to 3 bedrooms, 1 is set up as a guest bedroom overlooking the marina, it has a telescopic pocket door between this bedroom and an office which can be left open or closed off to separate the rooms, there is a dressing room / additional bedroom too and a bathroom. The top floor is the main suite with built in wardrobes and en suite bathroom as well as a terrace overlooking the water. There is wood floor on the 2nd and 3rd floor. There is no carpet throughout.
The area is very quiet, located off a residential street in Chiswick and opposite Dukes Meadows sports grounds and fields. The development sits around the marina and has direct access from the patio garden down to the marina. There's a riverside path and gardens too.
The house has 3 off street parking spaces on the driveway and a garage and the development is private so there is free parking.
Room breakdown
Ground floor
1. Hallway - microcement floors and stairs, black balustrades, black crittall window into garage
2. Garage - tiled floor with electric door. There is currently a classic Porsche 356 Speedster replica in the garage which can come as part of the home if needed.
3. Storage room / bedroom 5. This room was originally a 5th bedroom but we use it as a storage room. It has built in wardrobes but no other furniture.
4. Shower room / utility - Microcement shower room with marble basin, fluted wood vanity and black fixtures / fittings. There is a built in cupboard that slides into the wall for the separate washer and dryer.

First Floor
Open plan living room, kitchen and dining space. The living space contains a corner modular boucle sofa, pebble / stone style coffee table, circular jute rug, fake olive tree and a floating wood tv stand and wall mounted 77 inch tv. There is a fluted wood panel behind the TV.
The kitchen and dining space is set 2 steps above the living space but it is all completely open. The kitchen units are a dark matte textured slate colour. There's a 70/30 fridge freezer, wine fridge, black tinted glass sliding roller with shelves behind, pull out pantry and oven and microwave. There are contrasting wood cabinets above the sink which match the built in dining table which extends from the island. There's a rose copper Quooker tap. The kitchen island is a Dekton worktop with built in induction hob with down extractor. There are 2 boucle bar stools. The dining table is a havana oak which is built into the side of the island and has 4 boucle chairs that match the bar stools (there are 2 further matching dining chairs upstairs).
The stairs are a zig zag style, canterlevered off the wall with bespoke black metal balustrades. There are LED lights built into the ceiling above the lounge as well as under the kitchen counter top and the shelves next to the fire, as well as up the stairs.
Patio Garden
Blacl pivot doors lead from the living space to the patio garden which is paved, there's a red cedarwood barcode fence surrounding the borders, matching wood banquette seating, a storage cupboard, built in bbq with storage underneath and a silestone topped table. There are outside lights and rendered planters. Steps lead down to the marina.
2nd floor
1. Office / bedroom 4 - The office has a built in desk with cupboards to the right and shelving with LEDs to the left and a large window. Walls are painted in green smoke by Farrow and ball. There's a telescopic pocket door that connects the office to the guest bedroom which can be closed or opened.
2. Guest bedroom / bedroom 2 - also painted in green smoke, there is a window box looking out over the marina. Built in wardrobes, shelving with LED lights and a desk. Double bed. Fluted wood panelling behind the bed.
3. Dressing room / bedroom 3 - Painted in mouses back by farrow and ball. Grey built in IKEA Pax wardrobes. 3m open wardrobes run along one wall, adjacent to 2 open shoe storage shelving units. 2 further 1m wardrobes with doors are either side of the floor to ceiling window box. Built in dressing table in the centre of the wall.
4. Bathroom with white bath tub and rainfall shower over it. White toilet and wooden vanity with 2 drawers and white sink. Window.
Top floor / 3rd floor
Main suite with king boucle ottoman bed, fluted wood panelling behind the bed. Paint is a mix of roasted macadamia and mouses back from farrow and ball. Built in wardrobes opposite bed and next to the bed.
Sliding black doors out to the terrace which looks over the marina and has 2 sun loungers on it.
En suite with black tiles, walk in shower, wooden fronted vanity drawers, black sink, built in shelves. LEDs under vanity and in shelves and around the mirror.
Parking and accessibility
Parking - There are 3 off street parking spaces on the driveway. The road is a private road so there is free parking opposite the houses on the road. Restrictions outside of Chiswick Quay itself are in place for residents Monday to Friday 10-12.

Accessibility - accessible wheelchair access to the ground floor only but stairs to other 3 floors.
