Shoot Rules Overview

General Shoot Day Rules Overview for Filming and Photo Shoot Locations.

Please abide by the guidelines detailed below, unless agreed otherwise in writing or outlined differently within the 'Host's Rules and Restrictions'. 

 

General Conditions:

  • The location must be left clean and tidy after use, unless agreed otherwise (in writing) or a cleaning fee has been included in the Hire Fee.
  • All rubbish must be removed from the location at the end of the shoot.
  • Productions are not allowed to use the location's bins unless expressly agreed upon before booking.
  • None of the Host's personal belongings can be used without the Host's express permission.
  • Crew must adhere to the agreed areas of use and the approved crew size at all times during the hire period. Otherwise, additional charges may apply.

 

Overtime Charges:

  • Any hours beyond the agreed booking period will be charged at a fee up to 1.5 times the hourly rate, a 15min grace period is allowed.
  • Crew must arrive and vacate at the agreed times. Early arrivals or late departures will be considered as overtime and will incur additional charges.

 

Alterations and Reinstatement:

  • All alterations (apart from freestanding props and dressing), must be agreed with the Host ahead of the shoot.
  • Any alterations made to the location must be fully reinstated at the production's expense by the end of the booking period.
  • This includes any structural or cosmetic changes made for filming purposes.

 

Floor Protection:

  • When required, floors must be protected during filming to prevent dirt and damage.
  • Recommended materials include mats, correx sheets, ram boards, green felt, carpet roll or shoe coverings.
  • Floor protection requirements should be discussed and agreed with a Host before the shoot takes place.

 

Rubbish Collection:

  • At the end of the hire, all rubbish must be removed from the location.
  • Productions should arrange for rubbish removal services or remove themselves.
  • Penalty charges can apply if rubbish is left at the location after the scheduled period.

 

Cleaning Responsibilities:

  • It is the production's responsibility to leave the location clean and tidy.
  • Cleaning tasks include hoovering, mopping, and wiping surfaces as needed.
  • If the production can not manage cleaning, they should arrange for a cleaning fee or hire a cleaner.
  • Additional Fees can be enforced if the location is not left in a clean and tidy condition after the shoot.

 

Damages:

  •  The cost to repair any damages, marks, or scratches caused during the Hire Period need to be paid for by the Production Company. Failure to do so, will result in deductions from the Damage Deposit.

 

Additional Fees: 

Failure to comply with any of the above rules may result in additional charges, at the Hosts discretion. Additional fees can be applied for each offence, such as using areas outside the approved scope, exceeding the agreed crew size, not cleaning the location, leaving rubbish at the location, or not reinstating alterations. Additional costs for reinstating, rubbish collections or cleaning fees may also be deducted from the damage deposit if these conditions are not met.
