The space is a  beautifully preserved Grade II listed Georgian townhouse located in vibrant Hackney, East London - a perfect backdrop for fashion editorials, lifestyle shoots, TV dramas, photo shoots, interviews and independent films. This versatile four-storey property blends period charm with modern touches, offering a variety of textures, tones, and moods for creative projects. Original features such as sash windows, hardwood floors, high ceilings, fanlight above the front door, marble and stone fireplaces, kitchen dresser, original range cooker and wrought iron balcony/canopy offer classic Georgian character, while curated interiors and thoughtful decor add visual interest throughout. Very little 'modernisation' work has been done to the house in recent decades and original character has been preserved. The house has many items of interest which can serve as a versatile and intriguing backdrop for your shoot such as original artworks, folk-art furniture, antiques, mirrors, contemporary design pieces and natural history curiosities.

The house has leafy surroundings and is just off a London garden square.  There is also a green space behind the property with access from the garden. There are paid street parking passes available.

Rooms:

Lower Ground — Kitchen and dining area with the original 1820s range cooker, built-in wooden cupboards and a dresser.

Ground Floor — Two reception rooms separated by double doors, with high ceilings and marble fireplaces framed by large ornate mirrors. Large sash windows with wooden shutters bring in plenty of natural light. Furnished with an eclectic mix of pieces from various periods, alongside art and objects of interest.

First Floor — A large, south-facing master bedroom with a cast iron bed frame and a marble-surround fireplace, plus a large mirror and antique furniture pieces. Opens onto a narrow, south-facing wrought iron balcony with a glass canopy. Also on this floor: a large Jack-and-Jill bathroom with bathtub, sash window and original wooden floorboards.

Second Floor — Two further bedrooms. The larger has a small fireplace, two south-facing windows; the smaller has a corner sink.

Outside Space — A small front garden (accessed from the street) with mature rose bushes, privet hedges and wisteria. A larger back garden with York stone paving, mature plants, grape vines, wisteria, brick walls, outdoor seating and terracotta pots, plus a back gate leading to further green space and a small outbuilding.

Parking and accessibility

Street parking is available (Zone S only) - Permits: 2h for £3 or day passes are £7.50. Permits required: Monday to Saturday: 8.30am to 6.30pm.

Standard domestic power outlets. Circuit breaker can be accessed. Wifi available. The house is located on a relatively quiet street but it is not a sound proof house. Access to the property is via the front door with on street parking available (day visitor permits available). The front door is up some steps (see photos). There is also access at the back of the house via the garden if required. Both access points involve a few steps.
