About this location

A 18th Century country house near the village of Kings Stag, between Sherborne & Sturminster Newton, in Dorset, England. It is Grade II* listed. The house, first build in 1720 with later modifications made in the 1780’s, is on an estate of about 1,800 acres (730 ha); this includes a 90 acre deer park which is thought to have been created in the 13th century. The deer park currently holds a herd of about 110 fallow deer.

Filming is permitted both of the exterior and the grounds (including the deer park) and certain rooms in the interior, including the drawing room, dining room and hall. We have 4 glamping sites available for crew to stay in should they wish.

There is parking for about 20 cars on the gravel at the front and also grass parking for significantly more during the summer months
