Lock 91 is a beautifully restored 19th-century canal-side cottage that blends historic character with contemporary bar culture. Set on the Rochdale and Pennine Canal, the venue spans three distinctive floors and features original brickwork, unique interior spaces, and a striking waterside terrace, creating a stylish yet atmospheric setting.
Room breakdown
Lock 91 is arranged over three floors and offers a range of distinctive spaces. The ground floor houses the Reception Bar, Drawing Room and Victorian Parlour. The lower level is our Lounge Bar and Canal-side Terrace, an intimate floor located beneath the viaduct. The upper floor is home to the Attic Ballroom and Study Bar, a flexible open space also situated beneath the viaduct. Externally, the venue benefits from a canal-side terrace overlooking the Rochdale and Pennine Canal.
Parking and accessibility
There are no parking facilities at Lock 91, however there are three car parks within a few minutes walk from the venue, theses are Euro Car park, Q Park and Northern Warehouse are either open or multi-storey.
There is disabled access to the ground floor, and toilet facilities on the same level. Access to the other floors is via a stair case.

Due to the location of the venue and the Metrolink operating on the viaduct, there is a level of rumbling from the tracks that can be heard in the venue.
