Rules and restrictions

Rubbish

Please ensure all rubbish is removed from site at the end of the shoot. There is a refuse area behind the log store on the main driveway where rubbish can be stored during the shoot rental period, please ensure rubbish is removed from the house each evening, double bagged and tied (there are local foxes and stray cats who can get into the bin store!) The nearest council tip is less than ten minutes away near Strensall (YO32 9ST)

Parking

There is space for up to 9 vehicles on site (at a push!), please avoid blocking our vehicle (SE14 AUL) as we may need to leave and return throughout the day, thank you. Additional parking is available on the opposite side of the main road at the Village Hall car park.

Furniture

Furniture in all rooms can be re-arranged and/or removed as needed, please ensure the room is photographed before moving to assist in returning the room to its original arrangement at the end of the shoot. Please take care not to damage flooring or furniture when moving.
Shelves & Artwork
All shelves and cabinets can be cleared and set dressed as needed for your shoot and artwork can be removed from walls as required. As with furniture, please photograph before to assist in returning the items to where they were.

Props

There is a house prop and photo backdrop store accessible from the central orangery, you are welcome to use anything in here during your shoot, but please photograph shelving before removing anything and return after use to help keep this room organised for the next booking, thank you.

Smoking

Please only smoke in the rear garden area and dispose of any butts, thank you.

Cleaning

Please leave the house as clean as it was at the start of your shoot! Theres a mop bucket, hoover and various cleaning products available in the utility room.

Breakages

Accidents are inevitable on busy shoots, but please let us know of any breakages so we know to replace for the next shoot, thank you.

Damage deposit

Where damage has occurred during the shoot, for example, burn marks to counters, smoke damage, damage to paintwork or flooring, staining to furniture or carpets, significant breakages, lack of cleaning, uncollected refuse etc, we reserve the right to recover these costs from the damage deposit received on booking.
