About this location
Charm and character everywhere you turn; perfect for storytelling, period dramas or capturing the perfect backdrop. Located in the heart of the New Forest. With the New Forest National Park on the doorstep, and the Solent moments from the house, we have ample space to play with. 56 acres of parkland, a private access beach, and beautiful house gardens.
Downstairs rooms in the house are traditional to the era, with many reception rooms originally designed by Colefax and Fowler. Downstairs you will find the hall, morning room, study, drawing room, and dining room. There is also an old basement floor which was once the servants quarters.
10 quirky bedrooms and also a 3 bedroom penthouse. There is space in total for 26 guests to stay on site. Each of our bedrooms are totally unique in style, all utterly fabulous in their own way, yet equally as comfortable.
Head up the long sweeping driveway lined with overhanging trees to arrive. Head through the formal house gardens. Meandering woodland paths lead to a Lake. 15 acres of glorious water are framed by rhododendrons and azaleas. Dotted across the estate you will find an old walled garden, Victorian greenhouses, a dairy, forge, blacksmith shop, stable yard, and old mill building.
