This Old Magistrates Court is a Grade ll listed building available for filming and photoshoots. Built in 1910 and designed in the English Baroque style the exterior of the building features a leaded dome and expert stonework such as heavy cornices and pilasters. Internally the building has a floor area of 4,047 square feet and is set over two floors to provide a grand entrance, reception room, courtroom and judges’ chambers as well as a number of ancillary office rooms and toilet facilities. The Old Magistrates Court benefits from having retained a number of its original period features such as historic cornincing, ornate plasterwork, Ionic columns, original stained glass windows, fireplaces and unique fixtures and fittings associated with the building’s former use.
